Your pet dog can help you with stress.

The website Animal Friends reports that, according to a new study, quality time with a dog can reduce stress. “The research, carried out by Mindlab International, revealed that 25 per cent of those surveyed said they considered their pooch to be their best friends. A psychologist for the firm, Dr David Lewis, said: "Interacting with a dog is a profound and effective stress reducer."”

The Daily Mail adds that “the poll of 1,000 of the UK's seven million dog owners, conducted for dog food makers Winalot, showed 55 per cent felt more relaxed after time with their dog, 44 per cent were more optimistic and another 44 per cent were less worried about life's everyday problems like job security and financial troubles”. Also, “the survey found that one in four people describe their dog as their best friend and one in six women share their deepest, darkest secrets with their pet alone”.

So now you have another way to relieve your stress. If you have a dog, take it for a walk and then you will have quality time with your pet, and you will also enjoy the fresh air.
